A CROSSWAEH client was apprehended after he escaped from the community based correctional facility Monday night.

Benjamin B. Comstock, 20, of Vermillion, was arrested at Hampton Inn, 2492 S. SR 231, after a caller from CROSSWAEH reported around 11 p.m. Comstock had jumped

the fence 10 to 15 minutes

earlier.

Tiffin's police canine and the Seneca County Sheriff's Office were requested to locate Comstock, who was found just minutes later at the hotel.

"He was taken into custody almost immediately after it was reported," said Jason Varney, vice president of correctional programs in Seneca County for Oriana House's CROSSWAEH facility

Comstock was then taken to the Seneca County Jail. He has been charged with escape, a third-degree felony.

Varney said Comstock was a client of CROSSWAEH on convictions of theft and breaking and entering from Erie County.

He was the second client to jump CROSSWAEH's fence since it opened.
