The Tiffin Police Department is seeking witnesses of an assault that occurred Wednesday night on Vine Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues.
Tiffin Police Chief Fred Stevens said a man who was walking on Vine Street was jumped and punched by occupants of a passing vehicle, described as a gray-colored, newer Impala or Malibu, around 10:30 p.m.
The man told police the occupants of the vehicle had thrown a beer bottle in his direction as they passed him. The man yelled at the vehicle, and after it stopped the front and rear passengers, described as white males, exited the vehicle and assaulted him.
He was treated for facial injuries at the emergency room.
