Seats available for fundraiser

Seats still are available for the 2012 "Stars Dancing" fundraiser to benefit CASA of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Camden Falls, 2460 S. SR 231, Tiffin. Heavy hors d'oeuves are be served and a cash bar will be available.

The dance teams are Rick Brodman, of Brodman Financial Solutions Inc., and Cassie Frisch; Beth Brown, chief deputy clerk, bailiff for Seneca County Juvenile Court, and Steve Velasquez; Mike Herdlick, dean of students and professor at Tiffin University, and Kara Ward; John Reino, of Reino's Pizza and Pasta, Tiffin, and Ashley Erwin; Kelle Saull, attorney, and Tyson Saull, contractor, Upper Sandusky, under the instruction of Vikki Bell.

Attendees can vote for their favorite dancer for $1 per vote. The dancer receiving the most votes will be declared the winner of the People's Choice Award. Judges for the competition are Robert Bratton, Genoa police chief; Lynn Clouse, Clouse Construction; and Mike Kerschner, financial services development director for WSOS. The Judge's Choice award will be presented to the dance team with the highest score for their performance.

Funds raised from this event will be used exclusively for recruiting, screening, training and supervising CASA volunteers, who advocate for young victims of abuse and neglect.
