Add-A-Bow help still needed

December 7, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

The Community Hospice Care Add-A-Bow Trees have become a symbol of Hospice services in the local community. Located at the Tiffin IGA and The Tiffin Hardware, the trees are decorated with bows by volunteers who collect $1 per bow and add them to the trees.

Church and civic groups and individuals still are needed to sell bows. It only takes one person per shift to work. An individual usually works for two hours or more and groups provide coverage for one or more days. The trees are manned at Tiffin Hardware 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. At Tiffin IGA, volunteers are present 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.

Community Hospice accepts Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance as payment in full and do not ever bill any patient directly. Assistance from the community is needed to continue services to the terminally ill in Seneca County, Fostoria and Willard. Bows are to be sold until Christmas Eve. Any group that could take responsibility for one or more days is asked to contact the office at (419) 447-4040 Monday through Friday until 4:30 p.m. to schedule work time or receive more information.
