Helen V. Patrick

Helen V. Patrick, 87, of Tiffin and formerly Bascom, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2012, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

She was born July 29, 1925, in New Riegel, to Charles E. and Victoria Mary (Laux) Ridenour. She married Thomas J. Patrick June 4, 1946, and he preceded her in death Jan. 7, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas M. "Mike" (Sue) Patrick of Bascom and Robert L. "Bob" (Dolores Oravec) Patrick of Fostoria; one brother, John Ridenour of Norfolk, Va.; two grandchildren, Kendra Patrick and Jason Patrick; and one great-granddaughter, Libby.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Louie and Bob Ridenour; and three sisters, Clara Kelbley, Mary Burger and Ann McCord.

Helen was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, for many years and was a line worker at General Electric for 28 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Tiffin Women of the Moose No. 846 and enjoyed dancing, fishing, gardening, flowers and knitting.

Her Mass of Christian burial will be noon Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at St. Francis Home Chapel, Tiffin, with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 and 11 a.m.- noon Monday at St. Francis Home Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home.
