Calvert took a seven point lead after one quarter and was never threatened after that, capturing a 65-52 win over Cardinal Stritch.
Kate Brickner, who dominated the inside, ended with a game-high 21 points. Yet, she said there is still room for improvement.
"I just want to get my foul shooting and my 3-point shooting," Brickner said. "I want that percentage up. All around, I just want to get better."
Still she went into the locker room at halftime with an already impressive 16 points. Coming out she knew it was far from over.
"I wanted to keep a positive attitude and get my confidence up," Brickner said.
It worked, as she drained her third 3-pointer with about two minutes left in the third quarter. It marked a perfect 100 percent from the beyond the arc.

Coming into today's game, Calvert coach Tim Ritzler said he was hoping to was fine-tune the Senecas' game.
"We really wanted to wanted to work on executing. We do a pretty good job of getting out and running the floor, but we know there's going to be teams taking that away from us," Ritzler said.
Even though Calvert cruised to a win, Ritzler said he sees areas that need improvement. "The effort was there. It probably wasn't our best execution-wise. We missed a lot of shots inside."
Still, a win is a win and Calvert improved to 4-1.
