Prep Roundup: Parker-led Warriors get first win

SYCAMORE - Mitch Parker nearly had a triple-double Thursday as Mohawk overpowered Lakota 81-66 in Midland Athletic League play for its first win.

Parker registered 25 points, 10 steals, nine assists and six rebounds for the Warriors, who improved to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Drew Loose chipped in 23 points and six boards and Grant Ekleberry added 18 points and seven rebounds.

Kody Brewer and Nathan Ray each netted 10 points for the Raiders (2-2, 0-2).

Meek anything but for Blue Devils

FOSTORIA - Justin Meek turned in an all-around game and Carey dominated the first three quarters Thursday in an 87-40 whipping of Midland Athletic League foe St. Wendelin.

Meek led the charge with 20 points, seven steals and six assists for the Blue Devils (4-0, 2-0 MAL), who led 44-18 at halftime and 70-28 eight minutes later.

Jared Wentling (16), Bryan Powers (13) and Zach Boes (10) also scored in double digits, with Wentling hauling in nine rebounds.

Nick Schumaker paced the Mohawks (2-2, 1-1) with nine points. Matt Decker scored eight points and Gabe Walters had seven points and seven boards.

Senecas bounced quickly

LIBERTY CENTER - Calvert wrestling's lone win came in a forfeit Thursday as Liberty Center rolled to a 48-6 victory.

Daniel Kwiat gained the only win for the Senecas, taking a free pass at 195 pounds.

Only three matches were contested, with Calvert's Cody Kuhn (113, :35), John Brodman (120, 1:00) and Phillip Boes (138, :22) all getting pinned in a combined 1:57.
