Lawrence ‘Smokey’ D. Stump

Lawrence "Smokey" D. Stump, 81, of Lima and formerly of Fostoria, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Lost Creek Health Care Center, Lima.

He was born Feb. 13, 1931, at home, in Tiffin, to Raymond and Ella (Walters) Stump. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by two sisters, Wilma Brookover and Marian Stump, both of Fostoria; two brothers, Donald Stump of Fostoria and Darrell Stump of Bettsville; and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Stump; and a sister, Norma Stump.

His funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Hugh McClintock officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery, near Wayne, with military honors by the United Veterans of Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
