Kenneth "Kenny" E. Smith, 78, of Tiffin passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on May 31, 1934, in Bradner, to Richard & Mae (Morgan) Smith. Kenny attended Jackson-Burgoon Schools and on June 12, 1955, he married Dorothy Aldrich in Helena and she preceded him in death in 2005.
Surviving are his children, Charles Smith of Tiffin, Mark (Barb) Smith of Lindsey, and Todd and Tim Smith, both of Tiffin; grandchildren, Mark (Dawn) Smith Jr. of Fremont and Cheryl (Tony) Brake of Gibsonburg; his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Shyann, Elijah, Alexis, Savannah, Ryan and Reggie. He also is survived by his siblings, Tom (Kathy) Smith of Fremont, Richard Smith of Woodville, Delores Smith of Clyde and Carol (Al) Bouldin of Helena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children, Leslie and Keith Smith; siblings, Rosemary Smith, Joyce Holcomb, Neil, James and Ben Smith.
Kenny was a truck driver for Basic in Bettsville for 36 years, retiring in 1986, along with a Volunteer Fireman for the Kansas Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years. He also was an avid bowler enjoyed fishing and the Basic Quarter Century Club.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Vickey officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery.
