NEW WILMINGTON (Pa.) - Heidelberg couldn't distance itself from Westminster in the first half but once the second half arrived, so did the Student Princes, locking up a 60-51 win.
Seven minutes into the first half, Heidelberg held a 12-point lead (15-3) but the Titans battled back and within 11 minutes, had it tied even at 22. Heidelberg went into the half with a one point lead, 25-24.
Westminster opened up the second half with a Katie Hughes layup thirty seconds in. Two minutes later, after a Megan Miller foul and two free throws from Westminster's Andi Ridge, Heidelberg held the Titans scoreless for over eight minutes attaining a 17-point advantage.
Westminster was unable to get within eight after that.
Kathleen Phillips had a monster game, tossing in 27 points, including six assists and six boards.
No other Student Prince tallied double digits in scoring but Erin Sims dominated the glass, recording 14.

Columbian falls against Perkins and Fremont Ross
Three Tornadoes went 2-0 while three others secured a victory as Columbian fell to Perkins 59-20 and Fremont Ross 40-26.
Derik Kopp (138), Roman Williams (132) and Seth Williams (160) all went undefeated on the day while Mason Correll (152), Tyler Mesnard (170) and Blaze Huffman (182) all notched one victory a piece.
Columbian, Calvert fare well at Margaretta quad
CASTALIA - Home team Margaretta won the boys and girls side, but local teams Calvert and Columbian each produced winners at a quad swim meet Wednesday.
On the boys side Columbian defeated St. Joe 86-35.
Calvert's girls lost to St. Joe 77-50, while the boys lost 54-10.
Winners included the boys Chris Gates in the 200 freestyle (1:56.56) and 100 backstroke (59.35), Nate Ramsdell in the 200 IM (2:22.90) and 100 fly (1:04.90), Braden Kuhn in the 100 freestyle (54.00), Isaac Lewis in the 100 breast (1:16.58) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.60). Members of the winning relay included Gates, Lewis, Justin Schwartz and Kuhn.
On the girls side Jordan Jarrett (200 Free, 2:21.04), Rachel Hudacek (50 free, 26.59), Natalie Howard (100 fly, 1:05.60 and 100 backstroke, 1:09.34), Sarah Hudacek (500 free, 5:58.52) all won. Columbian defeated St. Joe, 88-54.
Corrine Harris was a double winner for Calvert, winning the 100 freestyle in 57.25 and the 200 IM in 2:22.10. Harris' win in the 100 free is a school record.
