On behalf of the Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment board, I would like to thank Shannon Miller and Josh Hohman of Mix 96.7. Oct. 30, the radio station hosted a "Fight like a Girl Gala." Shannon and Josh advertised the event on radio station Mix 96.7 during the month of October, breast cancer awareness month, and T-shirts were sold at various locations. The shirts were the ticket to the Oct. 30 fundraiser; the event had a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and a keynote speaker, Mayor Lydia Mihalik.
All proceeds to benefit Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment and also Cancer Patient Services for Hancock County. Because of people such as you, FACT is able to continue helping people in our community that are afflicted with this terrible disease.
FACT is a charitable, tax-exempt organization that benefits Seneca County cancer patients in need of financial assistance for their cancer treatment. Regardless of the type of medical insurance a patient has, there usually are things that aren't covered, such as the cost of gasoline to travel to treatments, medications or nutritional supplements. One hundred percent of donations received go toward FACT helping to pay for these items.
