The Tiffin Y-Wives would like to thank all those who helped make the annual Holiday Extravaganza a huge success. This year, we raised more than $11,000 to help support our YMCA.
A special "thank you" is sent to all the Y-Wives members who gave so generously of their time and talents to make this event a success. Once again, our lunch crew, lead by Patti Cole and helped by Deb Darling, created a delicious lunch, which was sold out. Other committee chairwomen who contributed to the success included Renee Hook, Alice Hohman, Jackie Fletcher, Deb Tiell, Lynne Anthony, Marge Ahle, Joanne Brickner, Kathy Nutter, Candace Cranmore, Deena Smith and Nancy Ehrman. Extravaganza co-chairwomen were Angie Dornauer and Sandy Kintz, who have co-chaired the event for the past 16 years.
Thanks again to Tiffin University and Heidelberg University students and their faculty leaders for helping the vendors set up for the event and tear down after the event. Our vendors love the extra help.
Santa (John Matthews) and his elf (Morgan Cranmore) helped more than 2,000 visitors get in the holiday spirit. Two local auto dealers, Bauman Auto Group and Coppus Motors, donated the use of their beautiful vans to help transport visitors from parking to the event. Ralph's Joy of Living, B&K Medical Services and Grand Rental helped behind the scenes.
The Advertiser-Tribune, with MaryAnn Kromer, published excellent articles to provide background and follow-up of this community event. WTTF helped market over the airways and Internet with pre-event interviews with Angie Dornauer. Our radio spots were sponsored by Community Hospice, Reineke Family Dealerships, Sound Solutions of Ohio, Tiffin Ohio AAA, Tiffin Community YMCA, Tiell Financial Group and Wagner Floral.
Thanks to our vendors and all who attended to make this 2012 event a success.
Angie Dornauer and Sandy Kintz,
Extravaganza co-chairwomen
