I just returned from lunch that I had with a couple of old friends. After being presented with the bill, our waitress wished us a happy holiday! Unbelievable!
My friends and I both wished her a merry Christmas and she was told that we were old-fashioned kind of people and would like a merry Christmas greeting as that is the reason for the season. The waitress said they were told not to say "merry Christmas" but "happy holidays." I was totally offended.
I'm sure this restaurant knows who they are. Please let your waitresses wish everyone a merry Christmas!
