Red Cross director to aid in relief

FINDLAY - Todd James, executive director of the American Red Cross of Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties, is rejoining the Red Cross' Superstorm Sandy disaster relief operation. James is to leave today for a 10-day deployment and will be based in New York City. James was in Atlantic City, N.J., as part of a Red Cross team when the storm struck Oct. 30.

James will be serving as the manager of a public affairs team at the Greater New York Region headquarters.

James will be reporting back to the Hancock County Red Cross during his deployment and the chapter will be sharing

his reports on Facebook at

The Red Cross is providing food, water, relief supplies, health services and emotional support in some areas. Trained Red Cross workers also are helping to connect people to recovery resources and working with community groups to identify available support.
