BASCOM - A Tiffin teenager was flown by Life Flight from the scene of a snowmobile accident in Hopewell Township Thursday.

A Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center spokeswoman said Nathaniel R. Dull, 16, of Tiffin, still was in the emergency room Thursday evening.

He was driving an Arctic Cat snowmobile southbound near SR 635. Deputy Christopher Potter of Seneca County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle crossed TR 132 and struck a deep ditch. Dull and his passenger, Nicole N. Davisson, 17, of Tiffin, were thrown from the snowmobile, he said.

Davisson was taken to Mercy Tiffin Hospital by Bascom EMS. The teenagers were wearing helmets, and the injuries they sustained were not life-threatening, Potter said.

The accident, which occurred north of Bascom, was reported at 4:58 p.m. Thursday. Personnel from Bascom EMS, Bascom Joint Fire District, the county's Echo unit, Seneca County Sheriff's Office and State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
