Nancy Ann Schu-eren, 74, of Morrison Road, Fremont, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Bellevue Hospital. She was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Toledo, to Henry and Bettie (Turner) Carter. She was a 1956 graduate of Scott High School.
Nancy married Gary Schueren April 9, 1960, in Toledo, and he survives.
She was a receptionist at the main office of Old Fort Banking Co. in Old Fort for 30 years. Nancy and Gary lived in Old Fort for 34 years and moved to Fremont in 2004 after she retired.
Nancy was a member of Grace Community Church. She sang in the choir several years ago and loved being around other members of the church. Nancy loved reading, cooking and baking, especially baking cookies for the grandchildren and attending their events.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Schueren of Fremont; two sons, John (Silvia) Schueren of Fremont and Matthew (Carol Norman) Schueren of Columbus; a brother, Gerald (Joanne) Carter of Toledo; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Schueren of Portsmouth; and seven grandchildren, Courtney, Nina, Brock, Jared, Marissa, Lauren and Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Steven Schueren.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont.
Her service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Road, Fremont, with one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Pastor Kevin Pinkerton will officiate.
