Jack R. Holderman

Jack R. Holderman, 89, of Fostoria, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born Feb. 19, 1923, in Marion, Ind., to Ottis Lee and Mercy V. (Clark) Holderman. He married Joanne L. Emerine Oct. 19, 1946, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are three children, David Michael (Susan) Holderman of Fostoria, Stephen J. (Dianne) Holderman of Risingsun and Stacey A. (Mark) Turpin of Dayton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Ethel) Holderman.

He was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother, Marion Holderman.

Mr. Holderman was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.

A Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will perform military honors.

Memorials are suggested to Bridge Hospice or St. Wendelin Parish.
