Columbian girls battle back to edge Rossford, 53-51

ROSSFORD - Columbian rallied from a 15-point hole in third quarter Saturday to clip Rossford 53-51.

The Tornadoes capped the comeback late in the game, when Payge Smith stuck a putback at the start of a three-point play to break a 50-50 tie.

Jocelyn Cole keyed TC with 18 points, all off 3-pointers. Valesha Province followed with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Courtney Morris sparked the Bulldogs with 20 points, Alaina Mitchell had 14 points and nine boards, and June Hote tossed in 10 points.
