The movie "Zero Dark Thirty" is misleading on one important point: It suggests torture is effective in getting information. Some may infer the movie justifies torture by the CIA. The truth is torture did not lead to Osama bin Laden. Sens. John McCain, Carl Levin and Dianne Feinstein, of the Senate Intelligence Committee, learned this over four years of investigation. They concluded "the use of torture in the fight against terrorism did severe damage to American values and standing that cannot be justified or expunged. It remains a stain on our national conscience." At present, Congress and the CIA are withholding the full 6,000 pages from the public.
