FOSTORIA - Four Cory-Rawson players scored in double digits and the Hornets pulled away in the second half Saturday to beat St. Wendelin 57-42.
The Hornets entered halftime up 20-18 after an up-and-down first 16 minutes for both teams - Cory-Rawson led 15-4 at the first stop and St. Wendelin outscored the Hornets 14-5 in the second period.
Tyler Harris, Matthew Alspach and Grant Risner all tossed in 15 points for Cory-Rawson (8-7) and Chad Shepler netted 10. Risner also grabbed seven rebounds, dished five assists and snared four steals, while Alspach had four steals and four assists.
Donovan Scudder's nine points led the Mohawks (5-10) and Nick Schumaker and Terrance Bello both had eight. Gabe Walters grabbed seven boards.
Ontario stays perfect in NCC
MANSFIELD - Ontario jumped out to a nine-point lead by the first stop and powered off from there Saturday to beat Buckeye Central 52-37 and remain unbeaten in the North Central Conference.
Cade Kaple's 15 points and four rebounds led the Bucks (9-7, 7-2 NCC) in the loss. Stone Wurm added 10 points.
The Warriors (12-4) improved to 8-0 in the conference.
Blue Devils thrash Arcadia
ARCADIA - Justin Meek scored 21 points, Jared Wentling had 14, and Carey scored 49 first-half points on its way to thrashing Arcadia, 84-26.
Also for the Blue Devils, Zach Boes had 11 points and Evan Rymer 10.
Carey made 9 of 18 3-pointers in the win, and shot 30 of 53 from the floor in improving to 12-4.
Howard paces Rams
UPPER SANDUSKY - Trent Howard scored 11 points, Carson Mittermaiar and Joe Reile each had nine and the Upper Sandusky knocked off Crestline, 49-41.
The Bulldogs were led by Nate Coffman, who had 16 points, and by Ryan Armstrong, who had 11.
The Rams went to the free throw line 25 times, making 19.
