Bob R. Miller

Bob R. Miller, 90, of Attica, passed away Monday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2013, at Parkcliffe Community, Toledo.

He was born May 18, 1922, Noble County, Indiana, to B. Ray and Mildred (Fitzpatrick) Miller. He married Alice M. Wernle Sept. 24, 1950, in Attica, and she survives in Toledo.

Other survivors include a son, William (Pamela) Miller of Columbus; a daughter, Mary Beth Shearman of Toledo; a grandson, Christopher Miller of Columbus; and a brother, Allen (Mildred) Miller of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Katherine Reidenbach and Doris Gene Campbell.

He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Attica, a former board member of Seneca East Public Library, an avid golfer - playing at Cranberry Hills Golf Course, an amateur radio operator, an airplane pilot and a Army-Air Corp veteran serving during World War II. Bob also worked for 38 years for the B&O and Chessie System Railroad, Willard, as a telegrapher and a freight agent, retiring in 1983.

A memorial service and burial at Attica-Venice Cemetery will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca East Public Library.
