There will be no school for students in Bettsville Local School District Friday due to a large number of student absences, according to the school's website.
More than 25 percent of the elementary and 20 percent of the entire school are absent due to strep, croup, bronchitis, pneumonia and various strains of the flu.
All staff will report to school Friday to help with the disinfecting of their classrooms. School will resume at its regular time Monday.
