Woman gets 59 months in prison

February 8, 2013
The Advertiser-Tribune

A Tiffin woman was handed a 59-month prison sentence last week after she pleaded guilty to 10 theft-related charges.

Nicole M. Raitz, 33, who was arrested last year after a Seneca County grand jury indicted her on five counts of burglary and five counts of theft from an elderly person for allegedly entering rooms at St. Francis Home and stealing items from elderly residents in 2011, also was ordered last week to have no contact with the nursing home.

Items taken by Raitz included a clock, jewelry, a vase, two toy tractors and a purse, according to court documents.

She had originally pleaded not guilty to the charges and withdrew those pleas in December.
