A Tiffin councilman facing charges of disorderly conduct and menacing appeared in court Friday where he pleaded not guilty.
Tyler J. Shuff, 27, of Tiffin, who serves as an at-large councilman, also demanded a jury trial Friday. It has been scheduled to begin April 24.
According to court documents, police were dispatched twice to Shuff's apartment Feb. 3 for the report of loud music. The first time, he was issued a summons to appear in court on a disorderly conduct charge and was given a warning that if police were called back to the residence, he would be charged with persistent disorderly conduct.
When police were dispatched second time to his apartment, Shuff would not answer the door.
Court documents also state Shuff allegedly threatened the neighbor who reported the loud music.
