Betty Jane Libby, 87, of West Palm Beach, Fla., died Friday morning, Feb. 15, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach.
She was born Oct. 29, 1925, to the late Harold and Gertrude (Jordan) Coppus, in Fostoria. She married James Henry Libby on Aug. 29, 1948, in St. John's United Church of Christ in Fostoria.
Betty is survived by her husband; a daughter, Ann Libby of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son, John A. (Nancy) Libby of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four brothers, Duane (Joyce) Coppus, Harold (Aileen) Coppus, Donavon (Shirley) Coppus, all of Fostoria, and James (Delores) Coppus, of Tiffin; and a sister, Karen (Ricardo) Girona of LaBelle, Fla.
Betty retired from Staff College at The Federal Center in Battle Creek, Mich. She was a graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School. Betty was an avid golfer and bridge player and loved walking.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Fostoria with the Rev. David Culp officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, in Fostoria.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830 (419) 435-8118.
