James J. Brown

James J. Brown, 75, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Cook County, Ill., to the late MJ and Mildred Brown, formerly of Tiffin. James enjoyed riding motorcycles and most of all spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Brown.

He is survived by Patty (Leon) Herrin of Oliver Springs, Tenn., Mary Lou Brown and Vernon Brown, both of Clinton, Georgia (Jimmy) Ogle of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandchildren, Stephanie and Melissa Harvey of Oliver Springs, Tenn., Br. Silas Shawn Henderson of Indiana, TJ Daugherty of Clinton, Tenn., and Kevin Helton and Heather Garza, both of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, 621 S. Charles Seivers Blvd., Clinton, TN (865) 457-2323, with his funeral following in the chapel, and the Rev. Leon Herrin officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Garden.
