Penny Kay Shane, 69, of Fostoria, passed away at 9:23 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.
She was born May 4, 1943, in Fostoria, to the late Jack and Bessie (Goodale) Gee. She was married to Harold Goshe who has since preceded her in death. She then married David Shane Jan. 7, 1973, and he survives her in Fostoria.
Also surviving are her three children, Patrick Goshe and Tavis (Molly) Shane, both of Fletcher, and Kisha McCabe of Tucson, Ariz.; stepson, Randy (Darcie) Shane of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kodi Goshe, Kyler, Kristofferer, Jordan, Jackson and Josie Shane and McKenna McCabe; and one great-granddaughter, Shelby Goshe.
Penny was devoted to her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren as much as they adored her.
Penny owned her own business, "Maid for You," a cleaning service, which she ran for 10 years. Penny, David and family were actively engaged in the agriculture business, farming, raising and selling 4-H/FFA award-winning show cattle all over the country.
Penny was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where she was involved with the Women's Bible Study. The church and her faith were a large part of her life.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today, Feb. 28, 2013, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.
Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. A funeral luncheon will immediately follow the Mass in the parish hall.
