FINDLAY - Red Cross is planning disaster training for new volunteers in Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties.
An overview is planned 6-9 p.m. March 15 and classes on shelter operations and shelter simulation 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 16 at the Hancock County Red Cross office, 125 Fair St., Findlay.
"These are the basic classes that all disaster workforce volunteers need and by teaching them all in one weekend we can let the new team members get out in the field right away," said Todd James, executive director. "The first Disaster College was held early in February and received such a good response that we are offering a second session to accommodate demand."
Anyone age 18 or older interested in volunteering should contact call (419) 422-9322, ext. 7, before March 13.
