This weekend's Seneca County Home Expo has a new location at Tiffin University's Heminger Center on Miami Street, and coordinators are excited about the new venue.
"We're excited because it's a great new community location for a great show," said Brian Bilger, president of the executive board of Seneca County Home Builders Association, which organizes the annual event. "The show's been around for many years. Now it's growing and we have a home for at least the next five years."
Bilger said the show is a little bit bigger this year than in past years because more space is available.
"It could be the biggest show in northwest Ohio now if we wanted it to," Bilger said. "We really want to start it off right for the first year in the new location."
Visitors to the home show can expect to find a variety of home-related businesses and organizations such as remodelers, landscapers, painters, builders, basement water-proofers and appliance sellers.
Vendors will be displaying everything from new and trendy items to time-honored traditions.

"It's a brand new, clean, exciting venue," Bilger said. "We have a lot more space than we had in the mall."
"We actually have some new vendors and several of them are from out of town," he said. "It should be a really great show."
Most businesses are from the Seneca County area, but some are traveling from Findlay, Fremont, Toledo and other areas.
A local vendor is offering "bounce" activities for kids in part of the new space.
"We'll have any aspect that you're looking for," Bilger said. "Anything that has to do with the inside or outside of your home, we're going to have somebody out there for you to talk to."
Even people who aren't thinking about any home-related changes right now can benefit from attending because they might get some ideas for future projects, Bilger said.
"You never know when you might want to do something different," he said.
"We typically have over 1,000 people that we get through the doors," he said.
Show hours are 5-9 p.m. Friday, noon-8 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday

Admission is free. For $1, each person who visits may place his or her name into a drawing for one of three prizes: a 55-inch flat screen TV, iPad and a GPS unit. Proceeds go toward putting on next year's home show.
