Margaret L. King

Margaret L. King, 100, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2013, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born April 2, 1912, in Tiffin, to Otto J. and Bertha C. (Frederick) Schafer. She married Charles Francis King Sr. Jan. 10, 1932, and he died Dec. 9, 1978.

Surviving are a son, Stewart P. (Janet) King of Fostoria; two daughters, Patricia L. (Ronald) Tuttle of Fostoria and M. Marlene Lehner of Attica; 15 grandchildren, Kathi Blakely, Bernie, Kelly, Scott, Anthony, Lisa and Chad King, Karey Wilhoite, Bob and John McLaughlin, Tommy McLaughlin Jr., Steve Tuttle, Kristen Waxler, Heather Bryan and Jennifer Berrier; 31 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson, Landon Tuttle; three sisters, Elizabeth Mohler of Utah and Sally Shutt and Iris Arter, both of Tiffin; two daughters-in-law, Donna June King and Marie King, both of Findlay; and son-in-law, Thomas M. McLaughlin Sr.

She was preceded in death by four sons, Charles Jr., John J., Robert L. and Michael G. King; a daughter, Geraldine A. McLaughlin; three great-grandchildren, Michael Tuttle, Luke Waxler and Nicholas Berrier; two sisters, Helen Miller and Kathryn Erchenbrecker; and two brothers, William and Paul Schafer.

Margaret was a homemaker, a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, its Rosary-Altar Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the former Columbianas. She was a private person, who dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, (419) 435-8200, where a Christian wake service will begin at 8 p.m.

Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. A funeral luncheon will follow the mass in the parish hall.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tiffin.

Memorials are suggested in the form of Mass intentions.
