Karen E. (Twardzik) Stucky, 62, of Bloomville, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Regency Hospital, Sylvania.
Karen was born June 27, 1950, in Sandusky, to Raymond and Louella M. (Nay) Twardzik. She married Lucius Carlton Stucky Sept. 14, 1968, in Fort Hood, Texas, while Lucius was in the military. They moved to Bloomville in 1972 as permanent residents.
Karen is survived by her husband; three sons, Earl (Michelle) Stucky of Tiffin, and Joseph Stucky and Ross Stucky, both of Bloomville; eight grandchildren, Chalie, Alexander, Aaron, Katlynn, Ian, Hannaha, Olivia and Hope, all of Tiffin; a sister, Kimberly (Douglas) Sallows of Toledo; three brothers, Robert Twardzik and Timothy (Prisca) Twardzik, both of Cleveland, and Thomas Twardzik of Toledo; and many nieces and nephews.
Karen graduated from Bellevue High School class of 1968, then married Lucius and started their lives in Bloomville. Karen worked at Hoges Supermarket, where she worked in the office. She then changed jobs to work as a public relations secretary for Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Karen had many friends throughout the years and there was never a stranger she met. Karen was also a member of Bloomville United Church of Christ.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stuart; a brother, Steven; and a niece.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, Bloomville, with Pastor Cathy Wirth officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be 3-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
