Cledith P. ‘Clete’ Long

Cledith P. "Clete" Long, 83, of Fostoria, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Independence House, Fostoria.

He was born May 30, 1929, in Ada, to Paul and Corda (Clum) Long. He married H. Virginia Snare Sept. 24, 1950, in Ada, and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Jay) Brough of Fostoria; a son, Warren (Karen) Long of Findlay; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Russell Long of Lima, Charles "Bud" (Cleola) Long of Lafayette and Nolan Gene (Dorothy) Long of Bluffton; and a sister in-law, Phyllis Long of Toledo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Long.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean War.

His funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Cal Cook officiating.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the funeral Tuesday, both at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery, near Arcadia, where military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.

Memorials may be made to Bascom United Methodist Church, Bridge Hospice or FACT.
