Seneca County Sheriff's Office will be conducting high-visibility overtime enforcement through the rest of the month.
According to a release from the sheriff's office, the overtime enforcement also will include the "Prom Blitz," which is scheduled to cover each weekend until May 31.
The goal of the enforcement is to reduce the number of speed- and alcohol-related accidents on Seneca County roads, the release states. The project is funded by a grant issued through the Ohio Department of Public Safety and the Office of Criminal Justice Services.
Grant hours are worked on a voluntary basis by Seneca County deputies.
