Tiffin University's next Good Morning World Breakfast lecture will feature David Avdakov,vice president and senior portfolio manager of U.S. Bank, at 8 a.m. April 18 at Camden Falls Reception and Conference Center, 2460 S SR 231.
Avdakov will present "Investment Outlook," in which he will discuss portfolio diversification and the economy, with expectations for the future, including the U.S. debt and whether the Chinese have the power to affect the U.S. debt situation.
Avdakov joined U.S. Bank as a portfolio manager in 1999 and has more than 16 years of financial and investment industry experience. He previously worked as a financial analyst for Harrington Bank. He received his bachelor's degree from University of Dayton and his master's from Xavier University.
"We are eager to have someone to share views on where the economy is and to look ahead at the forecast of where we are going," said Ron Schumacher, vice president for Development and Public Affairs.
He holds the chartered financial analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. He is a past president of the Dayton CFA Society, and currently serves as the society's treasurer. Avdakov also is a 2007 recipient of the Dayton Business Journal's "40 Under Forty" award for outstanding business and community leadership.
"The message is great to hear for the students and for those of the community from individuals with knowledge about the economy," Schumacher said.
