Edward Joseph "Joe" Bolish, 77, of Upper Sandusky and formerly Tiffin, where he resided for 46 years, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at The Ohio State University Hospital East, Columbus.
He was born Feb. 23, 1936, in Upper Sandusky, to the late Edward Joseph and Frieda (Schmidt) Bolish. He married Carolyn Hitchock Jan. 27, 1958, who survives in Upper Sandusky.
He is also survived by three daughters C. Lynne Bolish of Palm Desert, Calif., Kathleen (Robert) Schulte of Fort Shawnee and Christine (Tim) Graham of Palm Desert, Calif.; three grandchildren, Michael Schulte, Austin Graham and Robby Graham; and a sister, B. Christine (Lawrence) Spicer of San Diego, Calif.
Mr. Bolish graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1954 and Miami University in 1960 with a degree in architecture. He owned Joseph Bolish Architect, Tiffin. Many of his projects were in Seneca and Wyandot counties.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky.
Mr. Bolish loved his work, was a private pilot, enjoyed playing golf and the computer world.
Private family graveside services will take place Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, with Father Joseph Szybka officiating.
