Larry Joe Nye, 54, of Tiffin, died unexpectedly and went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 9:23 a.m., Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his residence.
Larry was born June 10, 1958, in Tiffin, to the late Joe and Arlene (Mason) Nye. He married his soul mate, Julie Hall, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., April 5, 1999, and she survives.
Survivors also include his children, Angie (Mike) Jelinek, Andrew W. Kimmet and Alan M. Kimmet, all of Tiffin; two brothers, Clinton Nye of Tiffin and Duane Nye of Findlay; and a sister, Mary Jane Nye of Tiffin.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Diane Hill.
Larry worked at Seneca Medical in Tiffin as a transport driver, traveling to Toledo and Michigan. He was a member of Family of Faith Lutheran Church in Tiffin. Larry was a good person and adored by his children. He always helped anyone who asked, and enjoyed the outdoors and his family. Larry attended Mohawk High School.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at First Christian Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Mark Brodbeck officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin. Burial will follow services Wednesday at St. Mary's Cemetery.
