Rosemary K. Baker, 96, of Tiffin, formerly of Fostoria, died Monday morning, April 8, 2013, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital, Tiffin.
She was born June 9, 1916, in New Washington to Clemence and Blanche (Sutter) Alt. She married Gerald S. Baker Feb. 22, 1941, at Mother of Sorrow Church, North Auburn. He died July 8, 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Bishop Robert Baker of Birmingham, Ala., and Tom (Becky) Baker of Fostoria; a daughter, Mary Ann (Stephen) Jepsen of Powell; a daughter-in-law, Linda Baker of Columbus; three sisters, Ann Studer and Alice William, both of Shelby, and Joan Rospert of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, John and James Baker; a daughter in-law, Arlene Baker; four brothers, Father Clement Alt and Francis, Urban and Edmond Alt; and a sister, Bertha Weaver.
A Mass of resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at St. Wendelin Church, Fostoria, with the rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a wake service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
