The American Red Cross of Fostoria/Seneca County is to present a Citizen of the Year Award to two community leaders, Ray Wise of Tiffin and Arlen Lowery of Fostoria.
The awards are to be presented during a luncheon 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 26 at North Central Ohio Educational Service Center, 928 W. Market St.
Community leaders, family members, friends and the public are invited to attend. The award recipients were chosen based on volunteer service, organizational leadership and community presence.
Keynote speaker is to be Francis Dove Edwin, president of the Sierra Leone Olympian Association, director of development for the African Olympian Association and former flag-holder for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. A native of Sierra Leone, he is serving as senior visiting lecturer for the school of business at Tiffin University.
Tickets are $20. All proceeds from the luncheon are to benefit the American Red Cross of Fostoria/Seneca County.
