JV TENNIS: Fremont St. Joe's Jacob McQuistion beat Calvert's Phillip Boes 8-5.
n Columbian's doubles teams of Eline Widman and Adam Young, and Zach Gaietto and Tyler Wise both earned wins against Willard.
JV SOFTBALL: Columbian downed Shelby, 5-1. Kendalyn Sarka and Abby Steward both tripled and singled while Morgan Schalk struck out eight for the win.
JV BASEBALL: Hopewell-Loudon defeated Fremont Ross, 5-3. Jackson Sebetto picked up the win in five innings, with four strikeouts. Austin Tooker smacked two singles and a double while Bryce Steinhauser lined two singles.
n Columbian prevailed over Lake, 8-2. Tyler Hossler picked up the win. Dan Chevalier doubled while Tyler Gillig, John VanCamp, Kyler Cook and Cody Daniel all singled.
GOLF: The Seneca Hills Tuesday a.m. Ladies Golf League will begin pay-to-play golf May 7 at 8:30 a.m. League play will begin May 14. Golfers are asked to be at the course by 8 a.m. for signup. SPRING FLING: The Calvert Athletic Boosters Spring Fling is April 20 at the Knights of Columbus. Doors open at 4 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m., Texas Hold 'Em at 6:30 p.m. and a reverse raffle at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but you must be 21 to enter. Reverse raffle tickets are $70 each. Grand prize is $2,000. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
HALL OF FAME: The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame will honor its third class of inductees April 20 at 6 p.m. in the Masters Building on the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Being inducted this year are Art Huston (Carey), George Amlin (Mohawk), Heather Speyer (Riverdale), Andra Bell (Upper Sandusky), Rick Young (Upper Sandusky), Rob Sheldon (Wynford) and the 1975 Carey football team. JUNIOR HIGH TRACK: Hopewell-Loudon won the boys and girls meet against Old Fort and New Riegel. Megan Dodge won the long jump (8-9) and was a part of the winning 4 x 200 (2:10). On the boys side, Dominic Hedrick was a double winner in the 100 (12.8) and 200 (26.9).
