WESTERVILLE - The Ohio Athletic Conference remained unkind to Heidelberg's softball team as the Student Princes dropped two Tuesday at Otterbein. Heidelberg lost the opener 6-1 and then a 4-3 nine-inning affair to drop to 11-21, 1-15 on the season.
Otterbein jumped out to a 6-0 lead after six innings before the Student Princes got on the board when Lisa Simmons drove in Brittany Yost.
In game two, Heidelberg struck first on an RBI double by Simmons. After Otterbein tied the game, the Student Princes jumped back ahead when Jessica Lieberth scored on a throwing error and Lydia Stover singled home Kayla Zachrich.
However, Otterbein rallied to force extra innings, then scored the winning run in the ninth off a wild pitch.
