John Edward Brown, 84, of Findlay, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Heritage Manor, Findlay.
He was born July 20, 1928, in Sycamore, to Frank O. and Florence (Davis) Brown. John married Marilyn Stine, and they divorced. He then married Irma Iams July 17, 1971, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Steve Brown of Wauseon, and a brother, Myron Brown of Lima.
John was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wirt and Vaughn Brown.
He attended the United Methodist Church, Sycamore. John retired from Autolite, Fostoria, after 28 years of service. He was a former Boy Scout leader and enjoyed woodworking.
His memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Pastor Chris Cravens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday. A private burial will take place at a later date.
