Florence E. Wagner, age 95, McCutchenville, died at 8:50 p.m. , Friday, May 3, 2013, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and ReHab Center, Upper Sandusky.
She was born May 17, 1917, in Wharton, to George W. and Grace E. (Moser) Wentz. She married Wayne N. Wagner June 18, 1938, and he died Jan. 31, 1984.
Surviving are the following children, Robert Joe (Jan) Wagner, Kenton, Barbara Ann (Dan) McClain, rural Sycamore; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Diane Wagner and Beverly Jane Montgomery; and two brothers, Charles and Uhlmer Wentz.
Florence was a graduate of McCutchenville High School and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a retired co-owner with her husband of the former Sycamore Frozen Food Center for many years. She also was a curator at the McCutchen Inn, McCutchenville, for many years.
She was a 70-plus year member of Warpole Lodge No. 366 O.E. S., Upper Sandusky, a former member of the Seneca County 4-H Foundation, Wyandot County Historical Society and Wyandot Travel Club.
Funeral for Florence will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8 ,2013, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
