Voters approved a 0.67-mill bond issue Tuesday for renovation of the Bellevue Public Library.
According to unofficial results, voters voted 556-429.
The bond issue would raise $2.8 million to run for 28 years. Cost to the owner of an $80,000 home would be $16.64 annually, or $1.38 per month.
Maintenance projects would include exterior masonry work, foundation repairs, and interior plaster repairs, Director Molly Carver said.
In addition, a redesign of the entrance is planned, she said.
"We feel good about the positive results and to move forward and take care of our library and keep it nice," Carver said.
It has been 25 year since the last renovation.
The board will have to discuss where to go next, Carver said. The time frame has not been set.
"We appreciate the support and are glad to move forward," she said. "We want to take care of the library for the (community) and for future generations."
