LeRoy F. Wasserman, 89, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at his rural Helena home.
LeRoy was born April 19, 1924, in Fremont, to Aloysius and Clara (Buchman) Wasserman. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Europe during World War II. He married Anita M. Calmes Oct. 16, 1948, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and she survives.
Also surviving are six children, Kenneth L., Kathleen (Morris "Skip") Lacer and Ronald (Kathleen), all of Helena, Marleen (John) DiMasso of Woodville, Richard (Mary) of Helena and Dianne (Edward) Sours of Tiffin; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Clarabel (Glen) Decker and LaMar (Pamela) Wasserman, both of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David E.; granddaughter, Lisa L. Lacer; and four siblings Ervin, Edward and Harold Wasserman and Evelyn Smith.
Services and interment were private at St. Mary's Catholic Church and Cemetery, Millersville.
Donations in LeRoy's memory may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
