Marion J. McTaggart, 91, of Tiffin, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.
Marion was born June 17, 1921, in Auburn, Ill., to Homer and Ruth (Douglas) Lowe. She married Wendell Ralph McTaggart June 10, 1942, in Hattiesboro, Miss., and he preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1971.
Survivors include seven children, Barbara (Conrad) Baldwin of Newtown, Pa., Janet VanHorn of Newark, Dela., Judith McTaggart of Newtown, Pa., Patricia (Robert) Maurer of Bowling Green, Ralph (Suzanne) McTaggart of Corning, N.Y., Nanci (Kenneth) Harris of Columbus and Betty (Ricky) Lawrence of Bloomville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Marion was a homemaker and later in life was a Welcome Wagon hostess and also sold real-estate for Batdorff Real Estate. Marion enjoyed reading, playing cards, especially Bridge, and was a former member of the Y-Wives.
Marion was a 1939 graduate of Auburn High School and a 1941 graduate of Blackburn College.
Marion also was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, David VanHorn; brother, Richard Lowe; and two sisters, Maxine Echerd and Nanci Scharafin.
There will be private family services in Auburn, Ill., with burial at Auburn Cemetery. Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
