The Salvation Army is to have a groundbreaking ceremony at 4:30 p.m. today at 505 E. Market St.
Captain Becky Stetzer reported the chapel is to be converted into three classrooms and a new, larger sanctuary is to be built in the donation receiving area. The offices are to be moved to create a foyer for the sanctuary. A new receiving area is to be constructed.
The project is expected to be completed and dedicated this fall.
