A man who was arrested last week for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl now faces additional charges in Seneca County Common Pleas Court.
Torrance K. Norman II, 36, of Bloomville, who was arrested last week and charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, was indicted this week by a Seneca County grand jury on five counts of rape, five counts of sexual battery, two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of importuning.
According to his indictment, the misconduct between Norman and the 15-year-old girl occurred between June 2012 and this month.
Norman appeared in court Friday where his bond was set at $750,000 with no 10 percent surety allowed, a court spokeswoman from Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff's courtroom said.
He is scheduled to appear again in court June 6 for an arraignment.
If convicted of the charges, Norman could face up to 84 years in prison and a fine of up to $162,500, according to his indictment.
