BASCOM - Community nurses from Sts. Patrick and Andrew and All Saints churches are to present "Memory and Aging: What's Normal and What's Not" 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Sts. Patrick and Andrew Parish Hall, Bascom.

Art classes offered
Tiffin Art Guild has scheduled three new art classes at the TAG Gallery, 178 S. Washington St.
Carol K. Hoffman is the instructor for "Whale," noon-3 p.m. June 18.
Participants in this beginner-level class are to complete a 14- by 11-inch acrylic painting of a whale leaping out of foaming water. The class fee is $25 for TAG members and $35 for non-members. Supplies are included.
"Do a Van Gogh!" is the title of a class by Jon Adams. It is to run three sessions: 6-10 p.m. July 10, 17, and 24.
Students of any skill level will paint an 11- by 14-inch acrylic or oil painting of Van Gogh's "Cypresses With Two Women" in the manner and style of Vincent Van Gogh. The cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members, which includes canvas. Acrylic paints are available, but students are asked to bring their own oils.
Artists of all levels can create an abstract painting 6-9:30 p.m. Aug. 14. Instructor Judy Downey will teach using oils, but students may use oil paints or acrylic. Students will bring up to 10 pictures each of architectural subjects and any other picture they desire to be the focus subject matter.
Students can bring their own materials and supplies or Downey will provide them. The fee is $25 for TAG members and $35 for non-members.

Autumnwood bead bracelet party set
Autumnwood Care Center is to host a fundraising event 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Friday in the center's Community Room.
A variety of glass beads and spacers to create an original European bead bracelet are for sale. The cost is $10.

Glass Collectors' dinner upcoming
In conjunction with the Tiffin Glass Collectors Club Glass Show and Sale June 30, a banquet is to be served that evening at the Hampton Inn, 2592 S. SR 231.

Photo exhibit open
FOSTORIA - A photographic exhibit, "One Shutter at a Time" by Sylvia Ford and Jerold Hale, opened June 1 at Wesley Memorial Gallery.
A resident of southeast Michigan, Ford has won awards in various galleries in Michigan and Ohio. Her photographs also have been featured in Detroit Home magazine.

Local speaker to discuss tea history
Tiffin Historic Trust is to serve a tea at 12:30 p.m. June 22 at Grammes-Brown House.
While guests enjoy the traditional hot beverage and homemade petite sandwiches, dessert and fruits, Jackie Fletcher is to provide the story of the plant and its impact on history. Tea has played an important role not just in Asia, but around the world.
Members and friends of the Tiffin Historic Trust prepare and serve the Victorian style tea presented on china belonging to the original owners of the Grammes-Brown House.
Guests also are welcome to explore the renovated Victorian era red brick home before and after the program.

Comedienne, wife planning to divorce
"Glee" star Jane Lynch is divorcing her wife of three years.
Lynch married Lara Embry in 2010 in Massachusetts.
She told People magazine in a statement Monday that splitting up was "a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another."
Lynch asked for privacy for the family, which includes Embry's daughter.
The 52-year-old actress met Embry, a 44-year-old clinical psychologist, in 2009 and they wed Memorial Day in 2010.
Lynch is starring in "Annie" on Broadway and performed on Sunday night's Tony Awards on CBS.
