Gladine A. Montgomery Schwochow, 90, formerly of Clyde and more recently of Vickery, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at The Willows, Bellevue.
Mrs. Schwochow was born in Castalia to Albert and Alma (Leber) Maschka. She married Robert C. Montgomery Feb. 25, 1942, and he died July 28, 1969. She then married O. James Schwochow Dec. 30, 1977, and he died May 4, 2012.
She is survived by five children, Robert (Linda) Montgomery of Dayton, Jack (Martha) Montgomery of Clyde, Janet (Stephen) Hall of Sandusky, Susan (Todd) Spence of McConnelsville and Timothy (Debra) Montgomery of Lebanon; four stepchildren, Judith (Don) McEowen of Sandusky, John (Linda) Schwochow of Vickery, Jerry (Linda) Schwochow of Willard and Joyce (Bill) Dahnke of Norwalk; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 20 stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Patricia Featheringill of Attica.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Maschka; and one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Spitler.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery, with the Rev. David Klappenbach officiating. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
