Harry J. Kuhlman Jr., 76, of Tiffin, died at 7:25 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, with his family by his side.
Harry was born Oct. 31, 1936, in Brentwood, Pa., to Harry Sr. and Margaret (Hardin) Kuhlman.
Survivors include his four children, Martha (Richard) Blaney of Frazeysburg, Karen (Kelly) Shull of Sugar Grove, Tim Kuhlman of Medina, Tenn., and Amy (Marty) Kane of Wellesley, Mass.; five grandchildren, Heath and Brock Shull, Spencer Blaney and Katherine and Marty Kane; a niece, Regina (Gene) Albert of Clyde; and two nephews, Tom (Elena) Ross of Memphis, Tenn., and Dave (Vicki) Ross of Holladay, Utah.
Harry was a 1955 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1958 in New Port, R.I. aboard a Navy tanker. Harry retired after 30 years from American Electric Power.
Harry was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Tiffin Kiwanis Club. Harry enjoyed golfing, woodworking and traveling.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Kuhlman; a sister, Helen Ross; and a brother-in-law, Joe Ross.
His Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, with military honors being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin.
